Dear Friends, Customers and Supporters,

Please join our $10 Appeal! When I wrote to you two years ago requesting your support, I assumed that by now our income would have begun to approach pre-recession levels. Unfortunately, that is not the case, although the steady decline has stopped. It is still extraordinarily difficult for a small, progressive business like SCW to make ends meet.

We have reduced our full time staff by one and made the difficult decision to go to a high deductible health plan. Most staff are working reduced hours with support from NYS’s Work Share Program. That’s the hard news. The good news is that we are continuing to create and publish new and exciting products that make a difference. Our two new “poem posters” and the upcoming Murals of New York City 2012 calendar are good examples.

I hope to have a mass-distribution piece ready by Spring 2012 that clearly and simply shows what the right stands for. Given the timidity of the Democrats and the virulent attacks by the right such a piece is critically needed! Your support will help this happen.

Stuff It

With ever-rising costs, SCW needs to reach out to new people creatively and inexpensively. Becoming a stuffer is one way you can help...

We’ll send you 25 or more of our attractive get-acquainted-with-SCW bookmarks (2x6) or postcards (4x6) and you simply stuff them into correspondence or bills or mailings of yours or your organization. Twenty-five, 100, 500 whatever you can use for a year (so we don’t send a lot of small quantities). The stuffers will encourage people to visit our website, get a catalog or call us.
