Colombian artist Ledesma depicts the 26-day blockage of the Pan American Highway in 1999 by 60,000 unified citizens of Cajibio, Colombia. The painting is filled with symbols: the sun is their goal; the flag, love of country; the stick, autonomy; and the water, nourishment.
