Dear friend:

Before summer even began, Central New York, along with much of the rest of the country, faced record-breaking heat. This photo, from the March to End Fossil Fuels in NYC last September, captures the danger we face, with a degree of irony.

The protest, held immediately before the Global Climate Action Summit initiated by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, sought to push President Biden to act more boldly to prevent climate chaos. Unfortunately, he has yet to step up his policies commensurate with the crisis we face. I was among several hundred people arrested the following day as we blocked key companies on Wall Street which continue to fund the fossil fuel disaster threatening our future.

As the 2024 election heats up, we need to recognize the stakes and continue to act boldly. Learn more about what you can do at our Climate Action Page.
