This is the first in a series of posts lifting up some of the amazing artists with whom SCW has the opportunity to partner.

Rafael López is an internationally recognized illustrator and artist. His illustrations bring diverse characters to life in children’s books that reflect and honor the lives of all young people. Born and raised in Mexico City to architect parents, Rafael López was immersed in the rich visual heritage, music and surrealism of his native culture.

He is a founder of the Urban Art Trail movement in San Diego’s East Village creating a series of large-scale murals that brought the community together. Rafael splits his time between San Diego, CA and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Learn more on his website.

SCW is excited to carry his Listen and Together We Rise images in a variety of formats, as well as his Happy Birthday and Feliz Navidad cards and The Little Book of Joy, which features his lively illustrations.
