NO KINGS Nationwide Day of Defiance - June 14

As you well know, we're facing a federal government which seeks unbridled power and control. One of the particular grotesque manifestations of that campaign is a planned military parade in Washington, DC to celebrate Herr Trump's birthday on June 14.

In response, a coalition of national organizations have come together to organize the No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance. There are already over 800 actions scheduled, with more being added every day on the No Kings website. Sign up to attend an action planned in your community, or if nothing is being organized, go ahead and host one (there are great tools on the website to make it easy to plan).

A major goal here is to upstage Trump's self-coronation event by grabbing more of the attention with large, creative, bold actions across the country. We're also seeking to continue drawing new people into the movement and helping people find ongoing ways to stay active and productively engaged.

Large local and national mobilizations are very important to garner widespread attention and feed our spirits. But the ongoing, day to day organizing of reaching new people, building power and pushing institutions to stand up for democracy is even more significant.

We continue developing new resources to fan the flames of inspiration and resistance.
