Operations Manager

Time:     Full-time – 35 hours per week                              Salary:  $20-$24/hour
Benefits:     Health insurance, paid vacation, holidays and personal days
Hours:      9 or 10 am - 4 or 5 pm, Mon - Fri, some flexibility
Location:      400 Lodi Street, Syracuse, NY (near Northeast side of Syracuse)

OVERVIEW
For decades, SCW has created beautiful, agitational artwork, imagery and products to support feminist and progressive movements. We are looking for a dynamic, creative person to join our leadership team to help us meet the political moment, and prepare for the future. The position involves hands-on work in fulfillment as well as management, ensuring that the organization’s operations align with our social and political goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*  Coordinate SCW’s inventory management and fullfilment operations (Shopify and
    Shipping Easy)
*  Identify efficiencies and improvements to existing infrastructure and practice
*  Supervise shipping staff
*  Train and supervise seasonal staff (fall)
*  Work with the customer service staff
*  Oversee management of the building, including relating to vendors and contractors
*  Participate in our Management Team to guide the overall growth and development of
    the business
*  Assist with our transition to a worker cooperative

REQUIREMENTS
Ability to assess and improve systems, including additional uses of technology
Good communication and people skills, including providing effective supervision
Commitment to social justice movements and an intersectional approach to change
Reliable, responsible and accountable
Accurate and detail-oriented
Flexible and able to multi-task effectively 
Work well under pressure/deadlines
Able to act independently and as part of a team
Experience with packaging, fulfillment and warehouse management are very helpful
