Book - Shapeshifters - Bodies Like Water

Shapeshifters: Bodies like Water is a remarkable book of beautiful photographs and powerful stories which honor the deep connections between the body, land, and queer wisdom.  The book features the photographic stories of seven queer artists,  “a loving mirror of celebration and inquiry for the parts of ourselves that . . . seek to expand the shapeshifter in all of us.” Each artist shares their story of self-realization and separation from society’s predetermined ideal(s) of gender.

Shapeshifters is a creative project brought together by Jenny Zander, Gayatri Narayanan, BakiBakiBaki Porter, Ira Baumgarten, Nadine Baumgarten, and Tom Toni Parker.
